I began taking my 4 year old granddaughter to Little Gym of Merrick over 2 years ago, in the hopes of engaging her in a fun gymnastics program. It quickly became evident that LGM offers so much more than physical activity. I was so impressed by Evan and his staff, I now attend a second session with my 16 month old grandson. As a retired educator of over 20 years, I know how important it is to teach each child on their own level. Evan does that intuitively. Nicole and Mike are treasures who also exhibit the same warmth and expertise, due in part to Evan's high standards in selecting and training his staff. Besides the children getting a fun gymnastics experience, the children are always praised for their accomplishments, and made to feel special. The proof of this is in the joy you see in the children's faces, and the hugs they give the staff each week!
I love everything about this gym and so does my daughter. This gym is the best place for your child to attend and improve their motor skills. From the moment that you walk in, the team members greet you with a smile and make you feel like a member of the family. The friendly and very talented staff is always there to help and guide you. Evan, Mike, Nicole and all the other team members are exquisite. They have weekly activities planned out that every week you are improving and working on another body part and motor skill.
Great service & a much more filling experience vs other places of similar value. TLG gives a bit more structure to the young ones in their classes (much beyond any competitors practices) which helps start prepping your little one for the real deal.
My daughter loves going to The Little Gym in Merrick. From the moment we pull in the parking lot she starts screaming: "GYM, GYM". My daughter has improved so much on her skills. I see her running and hanging from the monkey bars, walking on the balance beam by herself and that is all thanks to the amazing program at The Little Gym at Merrick and their amazing staff. I started classes with my son at 15 months (now 3) and my daughter at 12 months (now 17 months). We enjoy it very much! My daughter loved it from day one and talks about it all the time. She has an extensive gymnastics vocabulary for a baby. My son took some time to adjust and had good days and bad at first, but really likes it now. He is a bit timid, so we stuck with it to build his confidence. He is now very comfortable there. We even had two of his birthday parties at the gym, and they did a great job. Classes are very organized and fun and the environment is bright and safe. I am glad we tried it!
